Time Saving Hacks for Busy Moms

Being a mom is one of the most rewarding experiences in life, but it’s also one of the busiest. Between juggling work, household chores, and family responsibilities, it’s easy to feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day. Good  news, there are a few things you can do to help save you some time on your never ending to do list!

Create a Weekly Meal Plan:

  • This may not be the most enjoyable past time but planning out your meals helps avoid multiple trips to the grocery store throughout the week and can avoid the last minute scramble of what to make for dinner. I like to leave one day a week available to order in and place that on the day that has been the most trying and the idea of cooking seems appetizing.

Set Up a Family Calendar:

  • One of the easiest ways to save time is to know when and where you are supposed to be. I know if I don’t have calendar reminders of all appointments there’s a very good chance I will miss it. Marking things down on either a physical calendar or having a joint family calendar app can help everyone know whats going on and where they need to be. Moms are busy and organization will go a long way.

Delegate Tasks:

  • You don’t have to do everything yourself. Delegate tasks to other members of the family to lighten your load. Even my toddler has his roles in the house, and getting him involved can help free up some of the burden.

Take Advantage of Online Shopping:

  • This is probably one of my favorite things in 2024, the number of places I can shop online. Want groceries that you just have to pick up? Order online. Know your size and don’t have time to go to the mall? Order online. This has become my best friend and a really easy way to lighten my load.

Say No When Necessary:

  • As a mom, your time is precious, so don’t be afraid to say no to things that don’t align with your priorities. I know many of us are recovering people pleasers and as moms we have a nature care taking in our blood. But it’s important to learn to set boundaries and prioritize the things that matter most to you and your family.
